Gurdwara Sri Koohni Sahib is situated in Panchkula, Chandigarh.
In 1689, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji came here from Narainpur. Anpurna, a brahmin girl used to pray to Guru Gobind Singh.
It is said that Guru Gobind Singh came here to fulfill Anpurna's wish to see Guru Gobind Singh.
Guru Gobind Singh prayed to God here for 17 pehra (just over 2 days). Anapurna served Guru Gobind Singh and other Singhs with food.
Guru Gobind Singh predicted that a place of worship in Anpurna's name would be built nearby before a Gurdwara was established.
The Gurdwara was built in 1936 by Baba Jiwala Singh Harkowal.
