Gurdwara Sri Nanaksar Sahib Hakimpur is situated in Hakimpura village, Tehsil Banga in the Nawanshahar district.
The book 'Yatra Asthan, Parampara Te Yaad Chinh' written by Dr. Fauja Singh ji states that Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji rested here for three days sometime during Guru Sahib fourth udasi.
Later, in 1656, Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib ji stopped here for a few days while travelling to Kartarpur from Kiratpur Sahib. Along with Guru Sahib was army of 2200. The Pipal and Nim trees where Guru Sahib's horses were tied still exist.
The birth of Ram Rai, the disgraced son of Guru Har Rai Sahib, took place here.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib also came here while going to Anandpur Sahib.
The Samadh of the wife of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was here but because of the construction of the new Gurdwara it was demolished.
The original Gurdwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
