Gurdwara Sri Lakhnaur Sahib is located in village Lakhnaur, about 12 km's from Ambala city.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's wife, Mata Gujri (the mother of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji) was born at Lakhnaur Sahib.
Later, Mata Gujri's parents moved to Kartarpur near Jalandhar where Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Mata Gujri married.
When Mata Gujri and a young Guru Gobind Singh were travelling from Patna to Anandpur Sahib to join Guru Tegh Bahadur they stayed here for 6 months.
The muslim cleric, Pir Bhikhan Shah met Guru Gobind Singh at this place. Another muslim cleric, Pir Arif Din also paid obeisance to the young Guru at this place.
Guru Gobind Singh spent his time playing with his friends.
Mata Gujri's well, sarovar and baoli are remnants of the visit of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to this village.
Artifacts associated with Guru Gobind Singh and his family on display here include are the Guru's bed, Mata Gujri's bed, weapons and utensils used in the langar.
