Gurdwara Sri Karir Sahib is situated in village Littar, Tehsil Raikot in the Ludhiana district.

Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji travelled here some time after the 1631 Battle of Mehraj with 3000 horsemen.

Guru Hargobind came here from Daroli Bhai Ki via Dina, Kangar, Takhtupura, Hathoor etc. There was a dense forest here at the time.

Guru Hargobind rested here and tied his horse with Karir kila (hitching post) which grew into a tree.

During the day, Guru Hargobind would often hold diwans to teach the Sangat.

Guru Hargobind stayed here for 21 days. Guru Hargobind's family stayed in village Kailey.

The Sikh army stayed on the outskirts of village Dhalian. Kailey and Dhalian villages are about 3-4 km from Littar.
