A Sikh by the name of Bhai Jetha had the honour of serving Sri Guru Ram Das Ji, Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji and Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.

Gurdwara Sri Janam Asthan Bhai Jetha marks the birth place of Bhai Jetha.

Bhai Jetha took part in the excavation of the sarovar at Amritsar and the construction of Sri Harimandir Sahib.

Bhai Jetha was one of five Sikhs who accompanied Guru Arjan on his last journey to Lahore where Guru Sahib was martyred by the mughals in 1606. The others were Bhai Bidhi Chand, Bhai Langah, Bhai Paira and Bhai Pirana.

These Sikhs were witness to the events leading to the Guru Sahib's martyrdom and muslims torturing Guru Arjan.

The five Sikhs cremated Guru Arjan's body, returned to Amritsar and narrated, to Guru Hargobind Sahib and the Sikhs, as to what had happened in Lahore.

Bhai Jetha and the other Sikhs were trained to fight and were appointed by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji to lead one hundred horsemen each.

Bhai Jetha accompanied the Guru Hargobind to Delhi and was in attendance upon him during his detention in the Fort of Gwalior. When Guru Hargobind refused to eat the food provided by the mughal authorities, Bhai Jetha provided food using his earnings by working in Gwalior. Bhai Jetha took part in battles against the mughal troops, and fell fighting at Mehraj in the 1631 Battle of Gurusar.
