This Village is at a distance of 20 km from Lahore and 15 km from the Indian border.

Gurdwara Sri Janam Asthan Bebe Nanaki marks the site where Bebe Nanaki (Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji's elder sister) was born.

The Guru's love for his sister is referred to in most touching terms in some of the Sakhis. A sister's love for her brother is a perennial theme of Punjabi folklore.

Guru Nanak visited this village many a time because his maternal grand parents (Nanake) were from this village.

It was here that Bebe Nanaki, the elder sister of the Guru, was born in Samvat 1524 (1467 AD). Some say that Guru Nanak's name also refer's to his birth, which may have been here. As, at the time, the custom was for a mother to give birth in her home village.

Forward Bebe Nanaki - Bebe Nanaki was elder sister of Guru Nanak.

The domed building of the Gurdwara is beautifully built. A beautiful sarovar used to be on the right of the sacred Darbar which has vanished.

There is a girls school in this building. The building of the gurdwara was in a very bad shape until 1996 when the then Prime Minister of Pakistan spent Rs. 0.5 million out of the public exchequer to get it repaired. Once Prakash of Guru Granth Sahib Ji used to be done by Granthi Singhs but not now. 30 bighas of land is attached to this holy Gurdwara.
