The Battle of Gurusar was the third battle fought by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji near Mehraj with Lala Beg and Qamar Beg in 1631.

Despite overwhelming odds, the mughals were completely crushed in this battle. The mughals had a 35,000 strong army while Guru Hargobind's side only numbered 4,000. The battle was fought during winter season and Guru Ji had pre-planned everything.

Because the mughals were not fully acquainted to the conditions of the area they had not planned well for the battle. Over 25,000 out of 35,000 mughals were also killed. The mughals were taught a valuable lesson.

Forward 1631 Battle Of Gurusar - Guru Hargobind's horses were snatched by Mughals and recovered by Gursikh, Bhai Bidhi Chand.

Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited Nathana before (and after) the 1631 Battle of Gurusar took place.

Bhai Kalu Nath was a Sikh of Guru Hargobind and lived in Nathana. Bhai Kalu served the Sikh army with food and milk during the battle. The Sikh weapons were stored here.

Scouts and watchers looking out for the mughal forces were placed near Nathana. During the battle the war wounded were brought to Nathana.

After the battle Guru Hargobind stayed at Nathana for a number of days and blessed Bhai Kalu and the villagers for their services.
