Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Garhmukteshwar is associated with Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji who came here while returning from Assam.

According to local belief, Raja Nakh had been cursed by Rambha, a celestial being, and had been turned into a snake.

This snake was residing in the Nakh Kuan. Guru Tegh Bahadur emancipated this snake and removed Rambha's curse.

The Gurdwara is under the management of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee.

The main gurpurab celebrated here is the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur. On amavsya every month, about 400 to 500 Sikhs come from surrounding areas and gather here.
