Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Chota Mirzapur is located in a village in the Mirzapur district.
It is midway between Ahraura and Benaras along the Varanasi-Robertsganj road. It is four kilometres north of Ahraura Road railway station.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji passed through here on his way from Ahraura to Banaras (Varanasi). According to local tradition, Guru Gobind Singh (then Sahibzada Gobind Rai) also stayed here on his way from Patna Sahib to Punjab.
The commemorative Gurdwara is known locally as Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Nauvin Patshahi. Its present building covering a plinth area of about 28 x 21 metres has been constructed during the 1980s.
There is only one Sikh family natïve of the place, headed by Sardar Musa Singh, in Chota Mirzapur itself, but donations from Sikh transporters passing along the road and from other Sikh and non-Sikh worshippers including those at Banaras have helped the construction of the new building.
