Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji visited the home of Bhai Shiv Charan Das of Village Humayunpur Tasambali at his request.

Guru Tegh Bahadur was returning from Assam after negotiating peace between the Raja of Begal (Bishan Das) and Raja of Assam (Ram Prakash).

Guru Tegh Bahadur stayed here for a night to rest on the way to Anandpur Sahib. Bhai Shiv Charan Das and the people of village Humayunpur Tasambali served Guru Ji with great respect and devotion.

As a result Guru Tegh Bahadur blessed Bhai Shiv Charan Das to achieve liberation from the cycle of life and death (Churashi Da Gerh) and blessed the villagers to live a happy and prosperous life. Guru Tegh Bahadur told the villagers that this place will become a sacred place in future where Gurbani will be heard all day long.

Later, in 1703, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji also visited this place while returning from the village Lakhnaur. Guru Ji stayed the night also blessed Bhai Shiv Charan Das and the villagers.
