The village Alpa is in tehsil Chunian of the Kasur district.
A road from Pattoki leads towards the River Ravi. Halla, a well known town lies on this road and was famous for its dairy farming.
Alpa is located at a distance of 12 km's from Halla right on the bank of River Ravi. Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji arrived in this village from Nankana Sahib and stayed for a while.
Earlier this Gurdwara was located about 4 km's outside village Alpa, now a village known as Chota Nanakiana Alpa has been built there.
Once upon a time Prakash used to take place and a fair used to be held on Vaisakhi. Only three rooms stand now which housed a Govt School. These rooms are now lying vacant. The roofs have caved in.
There is a huge estate endowed in the name of this Gurdwara in this village as well as in some other villages.
