Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited the village of Sulhar during Guru Ji's stay at Lakhnaur Sahib in 1670-71.

The Gurdwara, an old double-storey domed building, constructed to commemorate the visit, stands to the north-west of the village. A spacious diwan-hall was added in 1951.
