Address : A-6, Jagatpuri, Near Krishna Nagar, Delhi
On SA
I had filed an affidavit before this Commission. It is shown to me. It bears my signature. (The affidavit is taken on record and marked as Exhibit No.63/1). In addition to what I have stated in my affidavit I say that my husband had died soon after he was attacked by the mob.
The police had taken away the four dead bodies of my husband and others on 4th November, 1984. Before that I had got some photographs taken of the remains of my husband and others who were burnt alive. I am also producing the copies of the photographs of the damage caused to my house.
Cross examination by S.S. Gandhi, Sr. Advocate on behalf of Delhi Police
I say that Mr Amar Singh is my son. I do not if the police had recorded statement son Amar Singh as I had gone away to Ram Nagar on 2.11.1984. On 1st November 1984 the police had not come to our house. The house of Sh. Sukh Chain Singh was also set on fire on 1st November, 1984. He was my relation.
The police had come on the following day of the incident in the morning. It is not correct to say that the police had reached our house at about 3.30 or 4.00 pm on 1.11.84 and had registered an offence in respect of the incident which took place near my house and the house of Mr Sukh Chain Singh. I had not seen the police on 2nd November, 1984 but I was told that the police had come. I had left my house for Ram Nagar at 8.00 am and the police had come thereafter.
