I am filing an affidavit today stating what I have to say before the Commission. The affidavit is taken on record and marked as Exhibit No.W25/1.

Cross examination by S.S. Gandhi, Sr. Advocate on behalf of Delhi Police

The mob of congress workers whom I have referred to in para 4 had come in two or three DTC buses. They had parked their buses across the road and thereafter they started throwing stones. The incident which I have referred took place for about an hour. There was one telephone at our taxi stand. I had not tried to contact the police on the telephone.

It is not correct to say that police had come there with in a short time. Only the Press people had come there. I do not know if the police had registered the case in respect of the incident mentioned in para 4. We were there – the incident lasted for about one and half hour. We were there the incident lasted for about one and half an hour. After we had gone to the place at Jantar Mantar the mob had followed us.

I had gone back to my taxi stand after about 10 or 11 days. The police had not recorded my statement at any time. While we were taking shelter in Imperial Hotel the police had come there after about 3 or 4 days and had taken away lathis and other small articles which we had. The person who had taken our lathis was SHO T.S. Bhalla.
