1984 Delhi Sikh Genocide - Statements

1984 Statements

Statement submitted before the Nanavati Commission

Witness No. 115

Name : Ishwar Kaur

Age :

Occupation : House Wife

Address :

On SA

I had earlier filed an affidavit dated 9the September, 1985 before Justice Rananath Mishra Commission of Inquiry. Whatever stated is stated therein was correctly stated. I have nothing more to say.

Cross examination by S.S. Gandhi, Senior Advocate on behalf of Delhi Police

That affidavit was written by someone else and not by me. The person who had prepared the affidavit had asked some questions and thereafter he had taken my signature on it. It was not read over to me. Our truck was near the petrol pump. The owner of the petrol pump had asked us to remove their trucks from the petrol pump.

While we were trying to take truck the inside Gurdwara, the police had asked us to stop the truck. Then they ordered the truck to be taken away from that place. After it was taken at a little distance it was set on fire. A big mob was there and the policemen wer also standing there. As my truck was set on fire at a little distance I was not able to see who had set it on fire.

Read over and found correct.
