On 3-11-84, Rajinder Kumar w/o Manmohan Singh reported that she suspected that her husband and three relatives were burnt in the paint shop. 19. No person was injured during police firing on mob between 1st Nov. to 4th Nov.1984. But on 5-11-84 during in discriminate firing from H.No.2176, Gali No.1, Chuna Mandi resulting in death of one Mangal Singh and army Hawaldar (Head Constable) Krishan Bhandar Gaurang. As occupant of H.No.2176 were firing indiscriminately on public/ police/ army. Hence, police/ army had fire in self defence to bring the situation under control resulting in death of two Sikhs, namely Aamir Singh and Narender Singh. A cast FIR No.1349/84 date 5-11-84 U/s 147,148,307,302 IPC and 25/54/59 arms act was registered at police station Pahar Ganj.

Still there appears to be no demographic change in the area of police station Pahar Ganj, however, a large number of people have shifted out of Pahar Ganj due to massive commercialization.
