Affidavit submitted before the Misra Commission

Affidavit of Sadhu Singh Ajit S/o S. Gopal Singh, aged 64 yrs., retired, R/o 1193, Mohalla Ajit Pura, East Rohtas Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi.

I, the above named deponent do hereby solemnly affirm and state on oath as under: -

1. That I am owner of property bearing Khasra No.465/49, measuring 613 sq. yrds. in Vijay Park, Shahdara. There were shops and rooms constructed in the property.

2. That on 31-10-1984, at night I had locked the shops and rooms and came to my house.

3. That on 5-11-84, I came ot know my all the shops and rooms had been raised to ground by Shanti Swaroop and his Mandali, resident of that area.

4. I was declare dead by the resident of the locality and they had started constructing a temple on my property with the material of my shop and rooms. The said Shanti Swaroop had constructed the temple with the help of his associated on 8-11-84, when I visited the spot.

5. That I had made various representation to Lt. Governor and other officials. I was delivered the possession of the property on 12-11-84, with the help of military authorities and Shanti Swaroop and Satish was arrested by the Army personal.

6. That there was a depute between police officials and military officials on 12-11-84, night.

7. That the supporter of Shanti Swaroop approached some Central Govt. Cabinet Minister and D.O. was sent to the military authorities to show cause why they had delivered the possession of the property had been delivered to the deponent. The military authority submitted a report to the Lt. Governor in this regard.

8. That on 14-11-84, Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shahdara attached the property of the deponent under section 33 of Delhi Police Act 1978. That the said property was restored to me 22-2-1985.
