1984 Affidavits

Affidavit submitted before the Nanavati Commission

I, Ram Kaur W/o Sh. Partap Singh aged 45 yrs. R/o 72 Block No.11, Kalyanpuri, Delhi, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:-

1. That in Nov.'84, I was residing at house No. 72, Block No.11, Kalyanpuri, Delhi.

2. That on 1st Nov.'84, the mob roaming around and shouting slogans that kill the Sikhs.

3. That we hid ourselves in the house itself. In the evening at about 6 to 7 pm we left this house by locking the same and went to the local Gurdwara at Kalyanpuri.

4. That my house was looted and burnt by the mob in our absence I suffered losses to the tune of Rs.25,000/- at that time.

5. That I have been paid a sum of Rs.1,000/- as compensation from the Govt. in respect of loss of my properties. I lodged a report with the police.
