1984 Affidavits

Affidavit submitted before the Misra Commission

I, Prakash Kaur W/o Inder Singh, aged 45 yrs., R/o 2374/1-A, Shadipur, Mandirwali Gali, New Delhi, do hereby solemnly affirm and state as under: -

1. That I was the Prop. of M/s Parkash Crockery House, T-56/57, Tokri Wallan, Library Road, Delhi-6.

2. That some time on 1st / 2nd November,'84, the rioters attacked my above shop and looted my crockery goods consisting of cup-plates, mugs, kettles etc. valued Rs.8,000/- and also my households i.e. stove, utensils, beds, charpai etc.

3. That crockery goods of my son Jagjit Singh valued at Rs.5,000/- consisting of cups plates, mugs etc. Prop. M/s Jagjit Crockery House, T-56/57, Tokri Wallan, Library Road, Delhi-110006, have also been stolen by the rioters.

4. That these rioters are our neighbours (Sh. Uday Ram, Suraj, Kishori, Omi, Aasi, Lalli etc., R/o 9444 and Sh. Bhagwan Dass, Pappu, Kishan Bhagwani etc., R/o 9441, Tokri Walan, Library Road, Delhi-6), who were hostile with us, looted our goods and also occupied illegally the premises, which are till date with them.

5. That Shyam and Kaushalya are the eye witnesses, who saw the above mentioned persons while they were looting our above mentioned shops / premises.

6. That the police never tried to help us to save from the culprits.
