I, Fateh Singh, S/o Kesar Singh, aged about 52 yrs., R/o H.No. 8551, Gulshan Guest House Bldg., Mohalla Bhargarh, Roshan Ara Road, Near Palace Cinema, Delhi-110007, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:-
1. That in Oct./Nov.'84, I was staying at 632, Muqim Pura, Gali Robin Cinema, Subzi Mandi, Delhi-7. I also owned a three wheeler scooter bearing Registration No. DER-4306 which I used to ply to earn my livelihood.
2. That on Nov.1st , there was great tension on the area and the armed mob armed with lathis, iron rods and knives etc. were roaming freely burning and looting the properties of Sikh people and killing them. They were raising anti Sikh slogans on highly abusive language.
3. That on 1st Nov.'84, and 2nd Nov.'84, I hid myself at the top floor of my house to save myself from the miscreants and I saw miscreants having iron rods and sharp edged weapons looting the properties of Sikhs.
4. That on 3rd Nov.'84, I somehow managed to reach the Police Station, Subzi Mandi which was made a Camp for the Sikh victims. I remained there up to 9th Nov.'84.
5. That when I came back on 9th Nov.'84. I found that my above said three wheeler scooter No.DER-4306, had been stolen by the miscreants and all my household goods and articles were also looted. I filed an FIR with the Police Station, Subzi Mandi on 9th Nov.'84. (Vide FIR No.633/84, ANNEXURE 1 to 3, copy enclosed)
6. That I suffered a loss of Rs.55,000/- (Rs. 31,000/- on account of 3 wheeler scooter, Plus Rs.24,000/- on account of looting of household goods.)
7. That I applied for loan to restart my scooter driving job and was granted loan of Rs.25,000/- by the Central Bank of India, Amritsar. I have paid 8 – 10 instalments with great difficulty but later on the Govt. waived off the remaining amount.
8. That I have not been given any further compensation on account of looting of my scooter and household goods. I may kindly be given compensation as stated in para 6 above.
