1984 Delhi Sikh Genocide - Affidavits

Affidavit submitted before the Nanavati Commission

I, Dr. Prakash Singh S/o Late Sardar Karam Singh aged about 60 years R/o 201 Kohat Enclave , Pritam Pura New Delhi do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:

1. That on 1.11.84 I was at my home and mob came to my house. When the mob knocked the door we went to upper floor of our property and thereafter they broke open the door of the portion of my house at that I was on the upper floor of the building and I shifted to neighbours house who was a non-Sikh.

2. That after some time I shifted to another house whose name Mr. Sharma . My portion of the house was looted by the said mob and burnt the same consequently I suffered a loss of about Rs.75,000/- at that time. I lodged a police complaint with the PS Shalimar Bagh,. Delhi. The copy of the same is attached herewith.

3. I was not given any compensation in respect of loss suffered by me in respect of household articles.
