1984 Affidavits

Affidavit submitted before the Misra Commission

Affidavit of Agya Kaur, w/o Late S. Amar Singh aged 45 years, resident of 91, Mangolpuri, Delhi. Presently residing at C-91B, Tilak Vihar, New Delhi.

I, Agya Kaur, the above named deponent, do hereby solemnly affirm and state as under: -

1. That I saw that a mob of about 600 people attacked my house on 1.11.84 at 11.00 pm with iron rods and kerosene oil.

2. That my home was looted and burnt by the mob. The attackers looted my gold ornaments and cash of about Rs.1800/-.

3. That my father-in-law was burnt alive by pouring kerosene oil on him by the mob.

4. That my husband was also killed by the attackers somewhere else whose dead body photo was shown to me at the Police Station, Mangolpuri, Delhi on 13.11.1984.

5. That an FIR was lodged with the Police Station Mangolpuri, Delhi bearing No.174/84 at 10.11.84.

6. That Congress-I workers Raju of C-140, Mangolpuri, Mohinder Gupta of C-93, Mangolpuri and Radhey Shyam of Mangolpuri were seen instigating the attackers and informed them about each and every house of Sikh family.

7. That the above facts can be verified by S. Harbans Singh of C-92, Mangolpuri, Man Kaur of C-90, Mangolpuri and Manjeet Kaur of C-93, Mangolpuri, Delhi.

8. That I was shifted to the Rohtak Ganj Gurdwara Relief Camp, Delhi.
