Gurdwara Sri Kodhiwala Ghat Sahib is situated in Babarpur village, Tehsil Pallia Kalan in the Lakhimpur Khiri district.
Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji came here during Guru Ji's third udasi.
Guru Nanak arrived in Babarpur village late at night and so spent the night at the hut of a fakir suffering from leprosy.
Guru Nanak performed kirtan and prayed to God. The kirtan brought solace to the fakir who after many nights slept peacefully.
In the morning, the fakir begged Guru Nanak to help cure his disease. Guru Nanak told him to bathe in the nearby pond.
With the Guru Nanak's blessings, the fakir bathed in the pond and his disease was cured. On hearing this, the villagers came to Guru Nanak and begged forgiveness for not accomodating Guru Ji sooner.
Guru Nanak asked the villagers to build a dharamsala for travellers at the site where the Gurdwara now exists.
