Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji came to village Ajitgarh Wander along the route from Chamkaur, Machhiwara, Alamgir, Raikot and Bhagta via Dod.
Guru Ji's Singhs tied their horses and dug a Jand Kila (wooden peg) which Guru Gobind Singh Ji tied his horse with.
When the villagers heard that Guru Gobind Singh had arrived they came and served Guru Ji with great respect and devotion. The villagers brought fresh green grass for the horses.
Guru Gobind Singh asked about the villagers well-being. The villagers explained that they were part of the family of Jaimal fatta of Rajasthan. They has settled here after fighting with the muslim rulers of Rajasthan.
Guru Gobind Singh said that those who came to Wander to look for a fight would go back defeated and named the village Ajitgarh. The Jand Kila grew into a tree which is still present at the Gurdwara.
