India Shows Its Hatred Of Sikhs By Allowing Genocide, Refusing Justice And Violating Its Own Constitution

Indian authorities have no regard for either the law or human rights of Sikhs. The rise of hindu terrorism, backed by an anti-Sikh media is keeping Sikhs behind bars. India's anti-minorities bias is so strong that it has failed to acknowledge the threat posed by hindu radicalism.

In the Indian Constitution;

Article 14 states 'The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India.'

Article 15 (1) states 'The State shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them.'

Article 19 states 'All citizens shall have the right —
(a) to freedom of speech and expression;
(b) to assemble peaceably and without arms;
(c) to form associations or unions;
(d) to move freely throughout the territory of India;
(e) to reside and settle in any part of the territory of India;'

Article 21 states 'No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law.'

The above principles mean little in the case of Sikhs. Prisoners serving life sentences usually serve 14 years. If they are hindu, in some cirucmstances, they serve less. With no-one to challenge them, anti-Sikh India has been abusing the rights of Sikhs for decades. Organized clandestine anti-sikh policies, false imprisonment and crimes against Sikhs have been continuing with little help or world wide recognition.

(27th Dec) - Bhai Lakhwinder Singh and Bhai Shamsher Singh have been temporarily released by anti-Sikh authorities

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, a solitary old Sikh man, is fighting for Sikh justice (by carrying out a hunger strike) against a regime that is promoting abuse of human rights, tyranny, corruption and oppression of Sikhs in India.

In an embarrassing reversal of anti-sikh policy, Indian authorities first released Bhai Lal Singh, then Bhai Gurmeet Singh and now Bhai Lakhwinder Singh and Bhai Shamsher Singh (see picture).

Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, Bhai Shamsher Singh have travelled to Gurdwara Amb Sahib.

Authorities are scrambling to respond to a gathering Sikh momentum on injustices committed against the Sikh community and are worried about the consquences should anything happen to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa and his fight for Sikh justice.

Bhai Gurmeet Singh has been released after 18 years

Clad in a white kurta-pyjama with a cream-colored loie hanging from his shoulders, the 42-year-old Bhai Gurmeet Singh was received a warm welcome by hundreds of Sikhs outside Burrail Jail, and at Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali). The family members who received Bhai Gurmeet Singh outside Burail Jail included his mother and two sisters.

After his release, Bhai Gurmeet Singh went to Gurdwara Amb Sahib in an SUV with his family members to meet Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, whose 42-day-old hunger strike had triggered the chain of events culminating in his release on parole.

A rousing welcome awaited Bhai Gurmeet Singh, a former engineer who made the explosives' belt worn by Shaheed Dilawar Singh which killed former CM Beant Singh, at the gurdwara. Hundreds of people present at Gudwara Amb Sahib started raising Jakaras on seeing him. As he stepped out of the vehicle, some shook his hands while congratulating him.

After paying respect to Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Gurdwara Amb Sahib, Gurmeet Singh met Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa and spent some 30 minutes with him. Later, while talking to the media, he said he was grateful to the entire Sikh community that struggled for his release.

While addressing the media, Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa announced his 'Punjab mission'. 'I will travel and visit every village, town and district of Punjab for collecting details about Sikhs confined in jails after having completed their sentences,' he said and added that he would break his fast at Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar.

Bhai Gurmeet Singh headed for Patiala, where he lives, with his family, after spending over two hours at the Gurdwara Amb Sahib.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singhs stand for justice and unlawful detention of Sikh prisoners has led to the early release of Bhai Lal Singh from Nabha Jail

It is notable that Bhai Lal Singh was convicted by the court of Sh. CK Butch, Designated Judge Ahmadabad Rural at Mirzapur (Gujrat) on 8 January 1997 under sections 3 and 5 of TADA Act, 120-B IPC, section 5 of Explosives Act and Section 25(1)(a) of Arms Act. Despite no previous convictions Bhai Lal Singh was given a life sentence. He was arrested on 14 July 1992 and spent 21 years in prison (including lawful remissions, excluding period of paroles).

Bhai Lal Singh's jail record is clean and he previously completed 20 paroles!!! without complaints.

It is pertinent to note that the Punjab and Haryana High Court twice found that Bhai Lal Singh's case was eligible for permanent release from Jail and issued directions to the Gujrat government led by Narindra Modi to consider his case for permanent release from jail. On both occasions the government decided to continue a policy of anti-Sikh bias and kept Bhai Lal Singh behind the bars.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa released from jail

Indian authorities have been unable to explain the abduction of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, by disguised drunken police, and his subsquent release. An unnamed source has said the authorities are struggling to provide an effective response and did not want to take the responsibility for Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's death in their care.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has returned to Gurdwara Amb Sahib to continue his fight for Sikh justice against a regime that is promoting abuse of human rights, tyranny, corruption and oppression of Sikhs in India. Meanwhile, clandestine anti-sikh policies, false imprisonment and crimes against Sikhs continue.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, who was on a hunger strike, has been arrested

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has been arrested by drunken Indian police in a clandestine midnight raid

Sikh Organisation For Prisoners Welfare (SOPW) have a first-hand report that around midnight (India time, on 5th Dec) approximately 60 plain clothes policemen, wearing kesri dastaar's and one of them even carrying a nishan sahib, entered Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's tent outside Amb Sahib Gurdwara, where he was resting for the night. They were heavily intoxicated with alcohol and had even been to the Gurdwara building itself beforehand.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, who was on a hunger strike, is an elderly man that has peacefully protested against human rights abuses by India. There were about 7 Singh's standing guard at the tent and one of the Singh's present identified one of the police officers as the DCP of Chandigarh.

The SOPW volunteer was also at Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's bedside as Bhai Sahib had requested this, and he tells us that the Police first arrested the Singh that ID'd them and then forcefully removed Bhai Gurbaksh Singh – 2 police officers grabbed his feet and 2 grabbed his arms.

MOVEMENT CONTINUES --- 5 more have taken over the Morcha

Witnesses say he was thrown into a waiting ambulance ‘like a sack of potatoes' and that there were another 300+ officers outside. All the Singh that were present put up a fierce struggle but were inevitably outnumbered as police attacked them.

We can confirm that Bhai Sahib was taken to Phase 6 Civil Hospital in Chandigarh where the doctors under pressure from the police attempted to forcefully feed Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's determination foiled the attempt of police and doctors to feed him forcefully.

As soon as Bhai Sahib was so disgracefully removed, Bibi Manjit Kaur (from Bhai Fauja Singh Trust) and 4 other pyare have taken his place and has resumed the hunger strike.

According to latest reports the police has booked Bhai Gurbaksh Singh under section 306 of Indian Penal Code for allegedly attempting to commit suicide and he has been sent to Ropar Jail. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh's has now been taken to Ropar Jail.

The world can now see the true nature of India's democracy, freedom of human rights, freedom of expression, corruption and injustice against Sikhs.

No Justice for Sikhs

No Justice for Sikhs... How did the cowardly gulams of gulams take power?

No Justice for Sikhs...

Indian authorities have no regard for either the law or human rights of Sikhs...

The rise of hindu terrorism, backed by an anti-Sikh media is keeping Sikhs behind bars. India's anti-minorities bias is so strong that it has failed to acknowledge the threat posed by Hindu radicalism. And, the world is turning a blind eye...

A solitary old Sikh man, Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, has decided to fight the tyranny of the anti-Sikh Indian government by conducting a fast unto death. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has said that he won't take meals unless the Sikh prisoners, who have completed the terms of their sentences are released from Indian jails. Although Sikh prisoners have served their sentences, they are now being held indefinately. The illegal detentions are being viewed as state terrorism by the Indian authorities.

Sikh political parties, who have been shamed with years of in-action, are now supporting the campaign.

On 4th December, various Sikh organizations held a march from Akal Takht Sahib to Gurdwara Amb Sahib Mohali to support the cause of Sikh prisoners.

It is notable that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has been on hunger strike since 14th November seeking release of five Singhs, namely – Bhai Gurmit Singh, Bhai Shamsher Singh, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh (who are confined in Burail Jail, Chandigarh since 1995), Bhai Lal Singh (who was arrested in 1992 by Gujarat police and is currently confined in Nabha, Maximum Security Jail) and Bhai Gurdip Singh (who is confined in Gurbarg Jail, Karnataka for the last 23 years). These individuals have served their terms of sentence but have not been released by the respective state governments.

So far, the Indian governments response has been to use the police to stop people visiting Bhai Gurbaksh Singh.

Meanwhile, the Indian media have revealed their anti-Sikh bias by providing little or no coverage.
