Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Nanakpur Jaghera is also known as Gurdwara Sri Patshahi Pehli Ate Chevin Sahib after Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji and Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited here (seperately).

Guru Nanak stopped here while returning to Nankiana Sahib. At the time the name of the village was Jhighar Jaghera, Guru Nanak rested under a Pipal tree near a pond.

After Guru Nanak's visit the village was renamed as Nanakpur Jaghera.

Later, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited Nanakpur Jaghera after being released from Gwalior.

Guru Hargobind stayed in Ghudani Kalan for a number of days and then stopped at the village of Siahar after Guru Sahib's horse became sick.

After Guru Hargobind's horse was cremated at Siahar, Guru Hargobind arrived here and rested under the Pipal. A Thara in the Gurdwara marks the site where Guru Hargobind rested.
