Guru Tegh Bahadur stayed here for a night to rest on the way to Anandpur Sahib. Bhai Shiv Charan Das and the people of village Humayunpur Tasambali served Guru Ji with great respect and devotion.

As a result Guru Tegh Bahadur blessed Bhai Shiv Charan Das to achieve liberation from the cycle of life and death (Churashi Da Gerh) and blessed the villagers to live a happy and prosperous life. Guru Tegh Bahadur told the villagers that this place will become a sacred place in future where Gurbani will be heard all day long.
