The location of Gurdwara Sri Baoli Sahib Panchkula was visited Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji.
A Mahatama told Guru Ji that there was a shortage of water in the area and asked if he could help.
Guru Nanak lifted a stone nearby and water started coming out. Guru Nanak explained that the water was from Panjor (city near Chandigarh) and it could be used to drink.
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji also came here with 700 Singhs. Guru Gobind Singh provided the sacred water of this Baoli to all the Singhs who came along with him and then drank the water himself.
It is believed that this sacred water can cure diseases, if taken continuously for 40 days with a pure heart.
